Two Years ago, I do not know why, but I had a sudden urge to build something. Like a kid playing with Lego's, I just wanted something to build and enjoy. Then after going though my closet I saw an old Gundam Model, that was broken, and knew that is what I wanted to build. So I went online and literally mauled over which one to get for hours, maybe even days since I did have that much money to spare on something I had no experience with. After reading a bunch of reviews and settling on a good price I picked up the 1/100 HG Red Frame Astray.
The box was simple but nice, the red just seemed to ooze coolness. I do not have pics of all the parts, but I took my time with the assembly. Since it was my first model I took about a day maybe two tops, going at a slow pace, making sure I had everything correct. All of the parts were easy to assemble and it was really cool to see how the all fitted together to make something that was very articulate and bad-ass. I was happy when it was all done and took some poses. But since there was I was still a novice I had no concept of Panel Lining and bringing out the poses that would make the model awesome. The coolest part of this model though is Gerbra Straight Sword. It is not often that you get to see a Mobile Suit with a sword that is not made of energy. The only gripe I would have about this model is the V-Fin as it just seems too fat and wide with the whole gundam being slick. Anyways here are some pics of my first model build. Remember that it was two years ago and I was still a noob =P

Ready to dual. Notice though no Panel lines and very plain looking. |

I love this pose just wished I had actually had a good background. |

Another cool pose needing a proper background and pic setup =/ |
